Flanging & Beading Equipment

Flanging is an audio effect created by mixing a signal with a slightly delayed copy of itself, then slowly varying that delay over time. This produces a characteristic swooshing, jet-plane, or “whooshing” sound. How it works- Two nearly identical signals are combined.- One is delayed by a very short time, usually just a few milliseconds.- The delay is modulated, often with an LFO.- The two signals interfere with each other, causing comb filtering: - some frequencies get boosted - others get cancelled- As the delay changes, the notches in the frequency response move, creating the sweeping effect. Typical controls- Delay time: very short, often 0.1–10 ms- Depth: how much the delay varies- Rate: speed of modulation- Feedback: feeds part of the output back in for a more intense effect- Mix: balance between dry and effected signal Sound examples- Jet flyby / sweeping metallic effect- Thickening and movement on guitars, vocals, drums, synths Difference from chorus- Flanging uses shorter delay times and stronger comb filtering- Chorus uses slightly longer delays and aims for a thicker, less metallic soundIf you want, I can also explain:1. how to make flanging in a DAW, or 2. the difference between flanging and phasing.

Our steel drum beading and corrugating machine is the essential equipment that reinforces the drum body by rolling precise circumferential beads or corrugations into the cylindrical shell, significantly increasing the container’s rigidity and resistance to deformation during stacking and transportation. This heavy-duty machine features a dual-sided hydraulically synchronized spindle design that works both ends of the drum simultaneously, with adjustable stroke control to accommodate different drum heights and bead patterns. The machine handles drum diameters from 560mm to 571.5mm, lengths from 725mm to 950mm, and steel thicknesses from 0.6mm to 1.25mm at production speeds up to 6–10 drums per minute. Available in manual, semi-automatic, and PLC-controlled fully automatic configurations, our beading roller integrates seamlessly with flanging and expanding machines to form a complete middle-section production line. With over 20 years of manufacturing expertise, we offer customized bead profiles, on-site installation support, and comprehensive after-sales service to ensure your steel drums meet international shipping standards for strength and durability.
